DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT TAKES OVER NICEONE BARCELONA
The video game show opens up to all electronic entertainment.
It was born in 2016 as Barcelona Games World with the aim of becoming a major European video game fair . And after achieving enormous public success—138,000 visitors last year—and following the departure of the industry association—which promoted the event together with Fira Barcelona—, in its fourth edition the show opens up to explore new territories, such as immersive experiences. The video games will continue to be the main pillar of the event, but its director, Josep Antoni Llopart, explains that from now on they want to bring the vast world of digital entertainment in all its scope closer to the thousands of gamers. With virtual reality and augmented reality, with technosports, with spectacular escape rooms, with more terminals for competitive group games… A transformation that involves a name change: from today until Sunday, the former Barcelona Games World opens its doors at Fira de Plaza Espanya as NiceOne Barcelona .
